Academy for Martial and Intellectual Sciences and Arts, LLC (AMISA)
Comprehensive Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: January 1, 2026
1. Commitment to Accessibility
Academy for Martial and Intellectual Sciences and Arts, LLC (“AMISA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for individuals of all abilities. We strive to ensure that our programs, services, digital platforms, and communications are accessible and usable by as many people as reasonably possible, consistent with applicable law, safety requirements, and the nature of martial arts instruction.
Accessibility is an ongoing process. We recognize that accessibility needs may vary depending on the individual, the activity, the location, and the delivery method.
2. Scope of This Statement
This Accessibility Statement applies to:
-
AMISA-operated websites and Wix-hosted digital platforms
-
Online content, forms, and learning management systems (LMS)
-
AMISA-operated classes, programs, and events
-
School-based programs conducted at partner locations (including Dynamic Defense Club)
-
Any future AMISA-operated facilities or training spaces
3. Legal Framework and Standards
AMISA endeavors to comply with applicable accessibility laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
-
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
-
Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (where applicable)
-
Applicable state and local accessibility requirements
For digital accessibility, AMISA seeks to align, where reasonably practicable, with generally recognized standards such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) issued by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Compliance efforts are made to the extent reasonably achievable based on current technology, platform capabilities (including Wix.com), safety considerations, and the nature of services provided.
4. Website and Digital Accessibility
AMISA is committed to making its website and digital content accessible to users with disabilities. Measures may include:
-
Use of readable fonts, color contrast, and clear navigation
-
Compatibility with common screen readers and assistive technologies
-
Alternative text for images where feasible
-
Keyboard navigation support where supported by the platform
Because AMISA’s website is hosted on third-party platforms (including Wix.com), certain accessibility features may be dependent on platform capabilities and updates beyond AMISA’s direct control.
AMISA does not guarantee that all content or features will be fully accessible at all times, but we actively work to improve accessibility as tools and resources permit.
5. Physical Accessibility (Current and Future Facilities)
AMISA does not currently operate a permanent public facility. When AMISA establishes or operates its own facilities, we intend to:
-
Design and maintain facilities in compliance with applicable ADA and local accessibility requirements
-
Provide accessible entry points, paths of travel, and facilities where required by law
-
Make reasonable modifications to policies or procedures when necessary to afford access, unless doing so would fundamentally alter the program or create a safety risk
Certain martial arts activities involve physical movement, contact, and safety considerations that may inherently limit participation in specific activities. Accessibility does not require elimination of essential program requirements or safety standards.
6. Accessibility at School and Partner Locations
Many AMISA programs operate at third-party locations, including public and private schools.
-
Physical accessibility at school or partner sites is generally governed by the policies and compliance obligations of the hosting institution
-
AMISA coordinates with partner sites to support accessible participation where feasible
-
AMISA is not responsible for structural or architectural features of third-party facilities
Participants with accessibility needs are encouraged to communicate in advance so reasonable accommodations can be explored.
7. Program Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodations
AMISA welcomes participants with disabilities and will consider reasonable accommodation requests on an individualized basis.
Possible accommodations may include, where appropriate:
-
Modified instructional approaches
-
Adjusted participation expectations
-
Alternative learning methods or schedules
-
Non-physical participation options for certain activities
Accommodation requests are evaluated considering:
-
Safety of the participant and others
-
The essential nature of the activity or curriculum
-
Available resources and staffing
-
Applicable legal requirements
AMISA is not required to provide accommodations that would:
-
Pose a direct threat to health or safety
-
Fundamentally alter the nature of the program
-
Impose an undue administrative or financial burden
8. Medical and Therapeutic Services Disclaimer
AMISA programs are educational and instructional in nature. AMISA does not provide medical, therapeutic, or rehabilitative services.
Participation in AMISA programs is not a substitute for medical care, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or behavioral therapy.
9. Communication Accessibility
AMISA endeavors to provide accessible communication, which may include:
-
Clear written communications
-
Alternative formats upon reasonable request, where feasible
Requests for alternative communication formats should be submitted in advance to allow reasonable time for review.
